The wind blew so hard on a recent beach day in Florida my beach umbrella pulled right out of the sand. Forget about taking a dip . The normally calm Gulf of Mexico churned with wild surf and a fierce riptide. Still, it was a beautiful setting with a brilliant sun, azure blue sky, and big puffy white clouds. Excellent conditions for timelapse videos! The movement of the clouds and the changing patterns they create against the blue sky can be mesmerizing to watch in a timelapse format, as the passage of time is condensed into a few seconds or minutes. So I set out on a photo safari with my iPhone13, walking the beach, looking for opportunities for good timelapses.
