I discovered this leafless tree while walking the beach on Folly Island near Charleston, South Carolina. The tree is adorned with shells, some painted, and other personal mementos that best describes the people who put them there. Some appear to be tributes to loved ones who have passed on. Others may be simply an expression of art. Each has a story only known to the creators.
